As a Senior Product Manager at Civica you will be responsible for defining the strategic vision for your team driven by Civica’s overall vision and creating product roadmaps that align to Civica’s strategic goals. You will lead by example and have hands-on execution of the product strategy across a suite of products, ensuring that product development practices and roadmaps are aligned to our global vision, to maximise productivity and growth.

You will be responsible for leading a team of product managers, collaborating with product design, user research, engineering and commercial teams. Overseeing lifecycle management of your portfolio of products, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and vision of becoming a global GovTech champion, whilst delivering critical products and services to citizens around the world.

The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for their teams including performance reviews, regular check-ins, and ensuring team members reach their maximum potential.

What you will do to be successful in this role as Senior Product Manager

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and business goals to define and refine the product roadmap and strategy.
2. Work closely with various stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, commercial, and customer success teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
3. Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and market research to gather feedback and insights that inform product decisions.
4. Hands-on approach to defining and prioritising product requirements to guide the engineering process.
5. Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of product features and releases.
6. Plan and execute successful product launches collaborating closely with Product Marketing team, including developing launch plans, positioning, and messaging.
7. Analyse data and metrics to measure product performance, identify areas for improvement, and make informed data-driven product decisions.
8. Lead and mentor product managers with best practices, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
9. Champion a strong culture of knowledge sharing and product decision and design documentation.

Core competencies:

1. Strong Product Management skills, with extensive experience working in a senior product role leading multiple products and product teams.
2. Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that drive business growth.
3. Demonstratable experience in leading high performing cross functional teams to achieve individual and team goals.
4. Experience working in software or product led organisations, launching and growing multiple products.
5. Capable of prioritising features, requirements, and tasks based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
6. Driving force behind building and executing a product roadmap and strategy that aligns with customer needs and company goals.
7. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success.
8. Flexible to adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities.
9. Strong problem-solving skills to overcome technical, business, and customer challenges.
10. Experience crafting compelling stories to communicate product vision, value, and benefits to various stakeholders at different levels.
