Job summary

Dex is partnering with a fast-growing AI recruiting platform builder in London. You will own end-to-end product slices, from spec to production, with backend-heavy work and LLM-powered features shaping critical paths. You will ship, own it, and it stays shipped.

You’ll design core features for candidate search and dashboards, integrate LLMs, build backend services with Python/FastAPI and Postgres, and deliver frontend work in React/TypeScript while enforcing strong API contracts.

This isn't a ticket-taker role. You'll own entire product slices, end-to-end, from spec to production. Think rich candidate databases, AI-powered matching dashboards, and workflows that transform recruiting operations. It's backend-heavy, full-stack, with LLMs in the critical path – not a side project. You ship, you own it, and it stays shipped.

The work

• Design and build core features for an AI-powered recruiting platform, from rich candidate search and filtering to operational dashboards.
• Integrate large language models directly into critical product paths, ensuring reliability and performance for AI-driven features.
• Develop robust backend services using Python, FastAPI, and Postgres, handling async patterns and ensuring production-grade stability.
• Ship pragmatic frontend components in React and TypeScript, unblocking yourself to deliver complete user experiences.
• Define and enforce API contracts, ensuring data integrity, idempotence, and clear error handling across the system.

What You Bring

• Proven track record owning and shipping end-to-end product features that scaled and stuck, with minimal supervision.
• Deep Python backend expertise: FastAPI or similar, async patterns, Postgres, Redis, with a default for production reliability.
• Experience building products where LLM integration is in the critical path, not an add-on, understanding production reliability challenges.
• Strong API discipline: you consider data integrity, error paths, idempotence, and versioning before shipping.
• Comfortable shipping workable frontend in React and TypeScript; you can build UI and review PRs to unblock delivery.
