And we need your help. Join us to build the digital economy of tomorrow.

Job Description

In this role, you’ll be working in a lean team, building Checkout’s own People Operating System. Your role will be to build products that all of our 2000+ employees will use every day, from product ideation to shipping.

Our team’s vision is to create the Operating System for everything about our People at Checkout. We are creating the full OS suite from when folks haven’t yet made the leap to join Checkout, to when they become an alumni, and with everything in between.

We believe that investing in our own internal OS will empower our people to truly thrive, by giving them a full suite of tools tailored to our Culture, Operating Principles, and to their needs, that they can use every day.

We embody our Run Lean and Pace Matters Operating Principles. We are building a Checkout People OS team that is lean by design, where the people who define what should be built are also the people who build it. We strongly believe that iterating fast (e.g. in a matter of days) is what makes us win.

We are user-centric. Everyone of us is deeply involved in discussing with our users and understanding their pains and needs. We understand what it means to build a great product. We have the technical knowledge needed to build the products we own. When we don’t have that knowledge, we rally people around us to help us execute products at the highest quality level.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Talk to colleagues, department and team leads, to understand what should be the next focus for our People OS;
  • Come up with products and features improving the daily life of all of your colleagues;
  • Own the execution of the products and features you’ve come up with, and its iterations;
  • Work within the People OS team, brainstorm, and help out where you can.
Qualifications

What are we looking for:

  • At least 3 years experience in building full-stack web applications
  • Demonstrable experience with end-to-end ownership, from ideation to execution.
  • Proficiency in UI/UX: React, Typescript, Tailwind, and experience in building experiences users love to use
  • Proficiency in Backend: Next.js (App Router), Postgres, AWS. Experience in iterating fast and building efficient systems.
  • Demonstrated experience embodying a Product and Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Eager to take ownership and find new problems to solve, interview users, come up with solutions and iterate
  • Embody a Fundamentally Positive attitude and Never Give Up mentality.
Additional Information
