Job summary

Franchise Brands is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the technical delivery and ongoing development of its enterprise-scale work management platform. The role combines people management with deep technical leadership, guiding architecture, integrations and deployment across multiple client projects.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Stakeholders to shape the roadmap, drive quality, and ensure dependable delivery while balancing commercial aims and technical risk.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience delivering enterprise B2B software in a technical leadership role.
• A good degree in Computing or a similar technical subject.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, testing and deployment practices.
• Experience managing software professionals, including coaching and performance management.
• Experience coordinating delivery across development, analysis, testing, product and project disciplines.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and ensure secure, scalable delivery.
• Manage delivery backlog and ensure releases are well-tested and documented.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and grow capability.
• Steer platform roadmap balancing features, debt and risk for multiple clients.
• Promote engineering quality practices and reduce technical debt.
