About the Team / Business Area:

The Product Experience & Design team operates across the organisation. You will be focusing on the Community Pharmacy and Hospital domains, supporting a broad portfolio of EMIS healthcare products used by frontline professionals. The team brings together Product Designers and a Senior User Researcher, working collaboratively to deliver end‑to‑end user experiences grounded in customer‑driven research and user‑centred design best practices.

About the Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our Product Design team as a Senior Product Designer. You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Owners, Clinical Design & Safety, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are insight‑led, evidence‑based and aligned to real‑world healthcare needs, supporting workflows, operations and the day‑to‑day running of pharmacy and hospital services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Product Managers and Owners to align UX best practice into agile delivery processes.
  • Develop a holistic view of the Community Pharmacy experience to design solutions that respond to user needs.
  • Apply strong research knowledge to identify appropriate methods and influence stakeholders to plan discovery activities.
  • Ensure the continuous use of insights (desk and user research) to inform design decisions.
  • Drive forward and help foster an innovative design approach with your Product Design and cross‑functional colleagues, including facilitating Design Thinking and Requirements Gathering workshops to ideate around both user and stakeholder needs.
  • Identify appropriate UX activities and deliverables for specific requirements.
  • Develop user journeys, task flows, storyboards, annotated wireframes and prototypes to communicate and validate design ideas.
Who You Are:

You will be a proactive and creative Product Designer with a passion for designing meaningful user experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and are confident working with a wide range of stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive user‑centred thinking. You bring a balance of strong UX expertise, analytical thinking and communication skills to deliver impactful design solutions.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Able to talk confidently with engineers to understand how back‑end data and technical integrations impact user flows whilst incorporating exception handling and rule mapping into design outputs.
  • Able to work across the wider business to ensure all aspects of regulation and clinical safety are considered in your design solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly communicate design decisions based on insight.
