Job Description:

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Your mission is to enable our Wise Platform team to launch new products and partnerships globally, through building and supporting scalable, efficient processes.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about scalability in a fast-paced fintech environment, with a talent for collaborating across technical and business teams. If you have a grounding in basic regulatory compliance principles and excel at creating frameworks, driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction, this is a perfect fit. A proactive problem-solver who empowers teams to deliver exceptional results will thrive in this role.

This is a first line role, embedded in the Wise Platform team. Your scope will include:

Governance, prioritisation and project management:
  • Create the global infrastructure for others to operate within, bringing structure and efficiency to the team.
  • Articulate the value added by governance initiatives to gain stakeholder buy-in and ensure these embed successfully.
  • Build an understanding of compliance and product strategy and priorities by region and product vertical and challenge where plans do not align with these priorities.
Stakeholder management:
  • Work closely with Wise Platform Product Compliance colleagues and Wise Platform leadership and ensure buy-in to governance approaches and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the wider Product Compliance team and 2LoD stakeholders to maintain alignment.
Risk, compliance and product documentation:
  • Coordinate development of global product, compliance and controls documentation, supported by colleagues within the Wise Platform Product Compliance and wider Product Compliance teams.
  • Understand business/sales teams needs for compliance-relevant documentation to enhance the commercial proposition and support development of this.
Qualifications:
  • Min 7 years of relevant experience working in a financial institution, fintech or consulting firm.
  • Approaches tasks in an organised, structured way and can bring this structure to complex problems, ideally with previous hands-on experience as a project, change or product manager. Proven ability to develop and implement structured processes for change management, documentation and knowledge-sharing across teams.
  • Can prioritise and re-prioritise in fast-moving situations, drive and deliver projects from inception to completion.
  • Able to understand and draw out commonalities from regional compliance analysis, with basic understanding of regulatory permissions, activities and global licensing.
