Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Procurement Manager to own end-to-end procurement for a key residential low-carbon category. You will drive category strategy, renegotiate supplier terms, and expand direct sourcing to improve hardware margin while protecting supply continuity.

You will work with Planning, Technical, Operations, Finance, and Product to land new products, optimise working capital, and deliver creative commercial solutions that offer customers better products at lower cost.

Qualifications

• Commercial and supplier-facing experience in direct procurement.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end sourcing and multi-million pound cost reductions.
• Understanding of supplier P&L, cost breakdowns and market drivers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end procurement accountability for a category with £100M+ revenue impact.
• Build and deliver a category strategy to improve hardware margin and control tail spend.
• Secure supply continuity through dual-sourcing and risk management.
• Own supplier governance: contracts, reviews, escalation ownership.
• Collaborate with Planning to ensure inbound material availability against an integrated plan.
• Develop commercial solutions with Technical, Operations, Finance, Commercial, and Product.
