About The Role

Position: Senior Procurement Manager REF 84798

Contract Length: 18 months

Location: Hybrid/Aldermaston (base location for contract purposes; cannot be changed) - 1 day per week in London, minimal attendance at Aldermaston required

IR35 Status: Inside

Pay Rate: Market Rate to Intermediary

Security Clearance: SC requested but can start on BPSS

Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for assigned categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategies and achieve efficiencies (savings) in alignment with stakeholders.
• Support and execute complex strategic sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract handover, ensuring compliance with policies and ethical standards.
• Manage contractual and commercial aspects, providing assurance to deliver value.
• Support Supplier Relationship Management, including segmentation, contract management, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring.
• Identify and develop supplier value through management review meetings and strategic planning.
• Contribute to process and performance improvements and interface development with the Service Centre.

Skills and Experience

• Pre-contract procurement experience in infrastructure/construction, familiar with NEC 3/4 contracts.
• Experience in procuring logistics partners.
• End-to-end procurement experience preferred, with a focus on pre-contract activities.
