About Monster Energy

Monster Energy Company, headquartered in Corona, California, is a globally recognised, NASDAQ-listed business and the force behind the Monster Energy drinks brand – the number one energy drink in the USA. Since launching in the UK and Ireland in 2008, the business has expanded rapidly across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Now present in over 140 countries, with more than 3,600 employees and 138 million cases sold across EMEA in 2023 alone, Monster continues to dominate the category with a bold, disruptive brand identity built around being aggressive, cool, mysterious, and fun.

The Role:
  • Develop and implement regional EMEA category and sourcing strategies, aligned with global procurement objectives and business priorities.
  • Lead commodity and ingredient sourcing strategies, using market intelligence, demand analysis and supplier insights to drive commercial value.
  • Monitor raw material and commodity markets, assessing pricing drivers, geopolitical developments, capacity constraints and supply risks.
  • Lead complex, high-value supplier negotiations, securing competitive pricing, favourable contractual terms and long-term commercial benefits.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, developing effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programmes and driving improvements in service, performance and innovation.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, productivity initiatives and cost-of-goods optimisation across significant category spend.
  • Develop robust contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to protect supply continuity and support business growth.
  • Lead and support tender processes, including RFQs, contract negotiations, pricing reviews and supplier selection.
  • Manage category forecasts, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), cost accruals and financial reporting, ensuring appropriate governance and approvals.
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement, EMEA Planning, Operations, Strategic Planning, Innovation and Finance to align category strategies with wider business objectives.
  • Support the EMEA Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring sourcing strategies reflect demand, innovation and growth requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, challenge existing ways of working and help evolve the wider procurement function.
  • Champion ethical sourcing, supplier governance, sustainability and continuous improvement.
About You:
  • 4–8 years of procurement experience within FMCG, food and beverage, or a comparable manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or buying, ideally involving direct materials, ingredients, additives, or commodities.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, raw material pricing drivers, market volatility, and supply chain risk.
  • Demonstrable experience leading complex supplier negotiations and delivering measurable cost savings or productivity improvements.
  • Experience developing and implementing category strategies that support global or regional business objectives.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable sourcing decisions.
  • Experience managing strategic supplier relationships and influencing supplier performance, pricing, and contractual terms.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across international markets and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Experience using SAP or similar procurement and ERP systems.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline; MCIPS qualification preferred.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, strategic and commercially minded approach, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement
Why Join Monster?
  • Join a globally recognised, category-leading brand
  • Be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Work across international markets and teams
