Department Procurement

Band 7 £46,148 - £52,809 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Procurement team, delivering high-quality procurement services to the Trust. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting tender processes within a public sector organization and possess a good understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

You should be a skilled negotiator, capable of influencing and managing internal customer expectations, as well as maintaining strong supplier relationships. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with a results-focused approach and a proven track record of achieving savings and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement, and manage the procurement strategy and work plans to ensure compliance with and achievement of the trust’s objectives.
  2. Deliver effective, compliant, and customer-focused procurement services meeting the Trust’s procurement and materials management requirements, including CIP targets.
  3. Track savings and quality improvements to NHS Trusts to ensure best value.
  4. Build excellent customer relationships, balancing commercial and clinical considerations in purchasing, and embed these into contractual agreements for successful outcomes.
  5. Support stakeholder relationships, ensuring adoption of best value solutions, and lead sourcing and contract management strategies within your designated spend areas.
