Job summary

Alexander Steele in Corby is seeking a Senior Process Technologist to lead factory trials, optimise processes and drive product quality through data-driven insights. You will own trial programmes, analyse results and recommend practical improvements on a day-to-day basis.

You will collaborate with NPD, Production, Technical, Procurement and suppliers, translating customer requirements into manufacturing actions and supporting introduction of new materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and ingredients.
• Hands-on experience with factory trials and process improvement.
• Data-driven approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support factory trials covering new ingredients, recipes, materials and processes.
• Use data and factory observations to improve yield, waste, efficiency and product consistency.
• Analyse trial results and make recommendations for process and product improvements.
• Support new product development, launches and existing product optimisation.
• Work closely with NPD, Production, Technical, Procurement and suppliers.
• Develop relationships with customers and attend customer trials/panels and site visits.
• Translate customer requirements into practical manufacturing improvements.
• Support approval and introduction of alternative materials and suppliers.
• Monitor product quality and recipe performance, balancing cost and consistency.
• Act as a technical bridge between customer, manufacturing sites and internal teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process excellence.
