Job summary

Logoplaste UK is seeking a Senior Process Technician to join our Injection Moulding team. You will mentor operators, manage the production schedule, and drive preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Process Manager, you will use SAP to track machine history and spare parts, lead training for new starters, and develop procedures to optimise productivity and product quality.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with injection mould machines.
• Solid understanding of health & safety practices.
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Comply with H&S and promote it among the team.
• Maintain PM schedules and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Utilise SAP to keep machine history, spare parts usage and PPM planning.
• Organise production schedules and manage changeovers.
• Inspect products and perform quality checks.
• Train and develop team members, including onboarding and Top 20 progression.
• Support day-to-day running of injection moulding production.

Job description

Logoplaste UK, is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Process Technician.

Reporting directly to your Manager and working closely with the Process Manager you will be required to work as an integral part of the team and be able to demonstrate a good hands-on approach.

Key Tasks & Activities

• Always comply with H&S and proactively encourage others.
• Maintaining PPM schedules, work procedures and involvement in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on related equipment as and when required.
• Utilising our Enterprise Resource Software (SAP) to keep up-to-date machine work history, spare parts consumption, and PPM planning.
• Liaising with the team and Management to effectively organise reactive/proactive and PPM schedules to cause minimal disruption to Injection Moulding operations.
• Manages and monitors the execution of the production schedule.
• Performs production change overs and start-up procedures.
• Inspect the finished product – visual and/or by camera and execute quality checks.
• Working closely with the team and the Management by supporting the training, coaching and development for the team.
• Responsible for the induction and training of new starters ensuring the new starter completes their Top 20, and onward progression.
• Available to continuously support, develop and manage the team throughout

  • Organising and/or carrying out training.
• Support the team with general day-to-day running of Injection Moulding production/machines.
• Closure of all department PMTOs including SAP.
• Critical and logical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work calmly in emergency and high-pressure situations.
• Ability to lead, manage and persuade others to change work practices.
• Developing practices, routines and solutions to help improve productivity and product quality.
• Preparing process documentation and operating instructions.
• Overseeing and assessing new and existing processes and workflows.
• Devising, implementing and testing new strategies to help optimise productivity.
• Analysing data to discover areas that need improvements and upgrades.
• Assessing compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards and reporting to higher management about their findings and proposals.
  

Who we are looking for

• Advanced Experience of Injection mould machines.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Experienced in SAP would be advantageous.
