Job summary

Logoplaste in the United Kingdom is seeking a maintenance engineer to join the site and support day-to-day plant equipment maintenance, with a focus on electrical bias and mechanical fault diagnosis.

The role involves maintaining PPM schedules, using SAP for work history and spare parts, and coordinating with team leaders to minimise disruption. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good communication, flexibility and reliability are essential for this position.
• Electrical biased with strong mechanical skills or mechanical biased with electrical skills (qualifications).
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and inverter drives would be advantageous.
• Experience of Blow Moulding and Packaging machines would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Day to day maintenance of all plant equipment on site.
• Maintaining PPM schedules, work procedures and involvement in continuous improvement activities.
• Reactive and pro‑active maintenance.
• Utilising SAP to keep up to date machine works history, spare parts consumption and PPM planning.
• Liaising with Team Leaders and Management to organise reactive/pro‑active and PPM schedules to minimise disruption to site operations.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and working a continental shift, you will be required to work as an integral part of the team and be able to demonstrate a good hands‑on approach.

Key tasks & Activities

• Day to day maintenance of all plant equipment on site
• Maintaining PPM schedules, work procedures and involvement in continuous improvement activities
• Reactive and pro‑active maintenance
• Utilising our Enterprise Resource Software (SAP) to keep up to date machine works history, spare parts consumption and PPM planning.
• Liaising with Team Leaders and Management to effectively organise reactive/pro‑active and PPM schedules to cause minimal disruption to site operations

Who we are looking for…

• Electrically biased with strong Mechanical skills or;
• Mechanical biased with electrical skills (qualifications)
• Good logical thought process in regards to fault diagnosis and rectification
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC’s and Inverter drives would be advantageous.
• Experience of Blow Moulding and Packaging machines would be advantageous
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Good communication, flexibility and reliability are essential for this position
