Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a seasoned Process Safety professional to lead PSM across a high-hazard membrane manufacturing facility in Newquay. You will drive safety improvements, ensure regulatory compliance and collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations teams.

The role emphasizes practical risk reduction, stakeholder coaching and capability building across Cytiva sites, with Newquay as the primary focus. A degree in science/engineering and chartered status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experienced process safety professional with strong technical knowledge of high-hazard manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, ALARP, DSEAR/ATEX, COMAH and PSSR requirements.
• Able to influence engineering, operations and maintenance teams to deliver practical safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management at a high-hazard, high-volume membrane facility at Newquay.
• Provide expert process safety input into projects, design reviews and operations, ensuring compliant solutions.
• Facilitate key process safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, ALARP, DSEAR/ATEX) with clear ownership and closure.
• Manage process safety compliance, including DSEAR/ATEX, COMAH, PSSR and safety-critical equipment.
• Own and support process safety CAPEX projects and coach teams to build PSM capability site-wide.
• Support process safety improvements across Cytiva sites, with Newquay as primary site.
