Job summary

AMC Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Engineering Head to establish and lead the new Engineering Department. You will supervise a diverse team including process and production engineers, maintenance operators, and safety specialists, driving digitalisation of production and warehousing and introducing new technologies.

Responsibilities include process analysis, product introductions with R&D, and ongoing site maintenance and security oversight.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; chemical engineering preferred.
• Experience in production environments is advantageous.
• ATEX procedures experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership capability for plant or division.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
• Hands-on mindset and problem-solving creativity are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data-driven tools.
• High awareness of health and safety practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and build an Engineering Department.
• Lead and supervise a team (Process & Production Engineer, Maintenance operator, HPASA Engineer).
• Digitalisation of production and warehousing (Bar Code System).
• Process analysis and improvements for existing production lines.
• Introduce new products into production scale in cooperation with R&D.
• Introduce new technologies on plant scale.
• Find engineering solutions for plant problems.
• Support and backup for the Site Manager.
• Supervise/optimise plant maintenance including buildings and general site.
• Supervise/optimise Site Security Systems (Cameras, lone worker system).
• Develop statistical tools to control process and quality.
• Interact with equipment suppliers, organise and evaluate trials.
• Cooperate with EH&S, QC, R&D, Sales; ensure safety standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering
• Good chemical knowledge
• Experience in a production environment preferred
• Experience with ATEX procedures preferred
• Experience in Team Leadership on plant or division level
• Good communication skills
• Hands on mentality as it is a hands-on job
• Creativity in finding engineering solutions
• Computer literacy for Microsoft office software
