Resume Skip in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Engineering Leader to establish and grow an Engineering Department on site in Stoke-on-Trent. You will lead processing, maintenance and HPASA engineers while driving digitalisation of production and warehousing through bar-code systems.

The role focuses on process improvements, new product introductions in collaboration with R&D, and deploying new technologies at plant scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering).
• Good communication skills and leadership experience.
• Hands-on mentality with practical problem solving.
• High awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

Responsabilités

• Set up and build an Engineering Department.
• Lead and supervise a team (Process & Production Engineer, Maintenance operator, HPASA Engineer).
• Digitalisation of production and warehousing (Bar Code System).
• Process analysis and improvements for existing production lines.
• Introduction of new products into production scale in cooperation with R&D.
• Introduction of new technologies on plant scale.
• Finding engineering solutions for plant problems.
• Support and backup for the Site Manager.
• Supervision/optimisation of plant maintenance including buildings and general site.
• Supervision/optimisation of Site Security Systems (Cameras, lone worker system).
• Development of statistical tools to control process and quality.
• Interaction with equipment suppliers, organisation and evaluation of trials.
• Cooperation with EH&S, QC, R&D, Sales.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering
• Good chemical knowledge
• Experience in a production environment preferred
• Experience with ATEX procedures preferred
• Experience in Team Leadership on plant or division level
• Good communication skills
• Hands on mentality as it is a hands-on job
• Creativity in finding engineering solutions
• Computer literacy for Microsoft office software
• High Awareness of Health & Safety procedures
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required
