CEN Resources is working in partnership with a very successful and growing engineering consultancy based in Glasgow. Due to growth and project awards, our client is now looking to hire a Senior Process Engineer. The client operates within various process industries such as Energy, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, and Life Sciences. Responsibilities include supporting Lead Process and Process Safety Engineers in all aspects of Process Design to deliver engineering solutions at Concept, FEED, and detailed design phases. Develop sizing calculations for process equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, compressors, separators, reactors, etc.) and prepare equipment datasheets. Prepare process equipment and instrument-related documents, provide design input for engineering drawings, and review design documents for quality and accuracy. Keep up to date with new standards, software, procedures, and implement them in daily work. Proficient use of AutoCAD and chemical process simulators is required; experience on production sites is a plus. Conduct site visits for surveys and meetings. Support process safety deliverables such as HAZID, HAZOP, DSEAR, and HAC studies, including scribing and facilitation. Prepare process specifications, drawings, and deliverables such as process design basis, flow diagrams, heat and mass balances, P&ID diagrams, material selection diagrams, line and equipment lists, and process data sheets.
Qualifications & Desirable Skills include a minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience, familiarity with process design in chemical plants, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, customer-facing experience, and demonstrable process safety expertise.
