• Significant local authority Private Sector Housing experience.
• Experience leading on complex housing enforcement and inspections.
• Ability to operate at a senior/principal level within a local authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead on HMO licensing and inspections and HHSRS assessments.
• Oversee private sector housing inspections and investigations.
• Direct enforcement action and issue statutory notices as required.
• Handle housing complaints and service requests with a customer-focused approach.
• Collaborate with landlords, tenants and managing agents to drive improvements.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues and teams.
