Job summary

William James Recruitment seeks a Senior Private Client Solicitor in Altrincham to handle high‑quality private wealth work, estates, trusts and tax planning, with a view to partnership. You will build a client base, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to growth of the private client offering in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Salary up to £100,000 plus bonus and enhanced benefits. The role provides a clear path to partnership and an opportunity to shape and grow a key practice area

Qualifications

• Experience in private wealth, estates and trusts.
• Advising on tax and succession planning.
• Strong client relationships and communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously and at a senior level.
• Experience with high-value or complex estates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing complex private client matters including estates, trusts and tax planning.
• Advising high net worth individuals and families.
• Handling high-value and complex estate administration.
• Building and developing your own client base and referrer network.
• Working closely with senior colleagues on strategic growth plans.
• Playing a key role in developing the private client offering.
• Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Driving business development and profile-raising activity.
