Job summary

Henderson Scott in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team on a hybrid basis. You will manage a varied caseload, advising on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, and trusts, with a high degree of autonomy and a client-focused approach.

The role emphasizes strong client care, commercial awareness, and the ability to develop the department through business development and mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE.
• Strong experience handling Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, and related private client matters.
• Excellent client care, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Private Client matters, including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, Trusts and Court of Protection work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.
• Provide practical, sensitive, and commercially focused legal advice.
• Meet agreed financial targets through effective time recording, billing, and file management.
• Support the growth and development of the Private Client team.
• Mentor and support junior colleagues where appropriate.
• Participate in networking and business development activities to generate new opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
• Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge and ensure regulatory compliance.
