Job summary

EMG Solicitors is recruiting a Private Client Solicitor to manage a caseload of private client matters. The role requires a qualified solicitor with approximately 5 years’ PQE and the ability to work across offices, including Durham, with occasional travel.

The position is full-time (35 hours) with flexible working arrangements, and a focus on client service, business development, and high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in Private Client work.
• Experience handling a varied caseload of private client matters.
• Strong drafting, problem-solving and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a caseload of Private Client matters.
• Undertake fee-earning work and contribute to department profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and develop connections with referrers.
• Supervise support staff and ensure timely, accurate file management.
• Support the growth and development of the department and firm.
