Job summary

Motus Legal Recruitment is representing a successful independent law firm in Birmingham seeking a Private Client Partner. The role offers autonomy to manage high-value wills, trusts, estates and tax matters while developing strong client relationships.

You will supervise junior lawyers, contribute to the growth of the private client team, and help shape the firm’s future strategy within a collaborative partnership.

Qualifications

• Established private client lawyer with strong technical experience in wills, trusts, probate/estates and tax.
• Excellent client management skills and ability to build relationships.
• Proven supervisory and people-management experience.
• Commercial awareness and appetite for business development.
• Ability to manage complex matters confidently and independently.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on wills, trusts, estates, succession planning and related tax matters.
• Manage high-value matters with autonomy.
• Develop existing client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Provide supervision and support to junior team members.
• Contribute to strategic development of the private client practice.
• Play an active role within a collaborative partnership.
