Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited in Wilmslow is seeking a Senior Private Client Associate or Partner to join a highly regarded practice. You will advise high-net-worth individuals on wills, trusts, probate and tax planning, and help develop the private client offering with a focus on client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in private client law.
• Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, probate, estate administration and tax planning.
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on complex private client matters.
• Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to develop client relationships and generate work.
• Strong communication, organisational and technical skills.
• Proactive business development and networking.
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of clients and matters.

Responsibilities

• Advising on wills, estate planning and succession planning.
• Handling probate and estate administration, including complex and high-value estates.
• Advising on trusts, including their creation, administration and ongoing management.
• Providing inheritance tax and personal tax planning advice.
• Advising individuals, families and business owners on asset protection and intergenerational wealth preservation.
• Supporting clients with lifetime planning, including Lasting Powers of Attorney and lifetime gifts.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families and professional referrers.
• Developing and strengthening the firm's private client offering through networking, business development and client relationship management.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the department and supporting colleagues where appropriate.
