Job summary

DWF LLP in Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our expanding Private Client team. We advise high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on wealth planning, succession and estate administration, with exposure to high-value, technically challenging work in a hybrid working model.

You will mentor junior lawyers, supervise complex wills, trusts and Court of Protection matters, and collaborate with tax advisers and trustees to deliver

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with significant private client experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Strong wills, trusts, estate administration and inheritance planning expertise.
• Experience supervising, mentoring and supporting junior fee earners.
• STEP qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on private client and wealth planning matters.
• Provide strategic advice on estate planning and succession planning.
• Draft and advise on complex wills, including trusts and business assets.
• Advise on lasting powers of attorney and other lifetime planning arrangements.
• Administer taxable and non-taxable estates, including high-value matters.
• Support inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax implications and gifting strategies.
• Establish and restructure trusts, advising trustees on responsibilities.
• Assist on family investment and wealth-holding structures.
• Collaborate with HMRC, accountants, tax advisers and other professionals to deliver solutions.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers and team members.
