We are working exclusively with a globally recognized tech organization seeking an experienced privacy lawyer to join their legal team. This is a hands-on, strategic role where you’ll address cutting-edge privacy issues in a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment. The role offers flexible working arrangements, and due to the international nature of the team, candidates can work remotely with occasional visits.

The Opportunity

You’ll support regulatory and user privacy issues across the EMEA region, helping to manage user trust and engagement with a widely used tech product. Working with legal and cross-functional teams across Europe, you’ll contribute to privacy-led decision making, advise on regulatory matters and user escalations, and shape long-term engagement strategies with regulators across the EU and UK. This high-impact role provides exposure to complex privacy challenges and opportunities to influence the platform’s EMEA privacy stance.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on privacy and data protection issues, especially relating to GDPR and other global privacy laws.
• Leading and supporting regulatory engagements with EMEA regulators (e.g., DPC, ICO, CNIL, Garante).
• Handling user escalations and complaints involving legal or regulatory concerns.
• Supporting proactive and reactive regulatory strategies, including stakeholder preparation for high-level meetings.
• Collaborating with internal legal, policy, and product teams to integrate privacy into business processes and remediation plans.
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and advising on risks and strategic implications.

About You

• Qualified lawyer (UK or EU), trained at a reputable city firm or with strong in-house legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy laws (especially GDPR).
• Deep regulatory privacy experience is a plus but not essential.
• Confident in handling cross-border issues and balancing legal advice with business priorities.
• Clear communicator, adaptable, pragmatic in legal approach.
• Candidates based in the UK, Ireland, France, or Germany with relevant experience are preferred.
