Job summary

Taylor Root is partnering with a high-growth technology-led business in Central London for a Senior Privacy Counsel. You’ll own the day-to-day privacy function, embedding privacy across Product, Data, and Commercial teams within a hybrid setup with 3 days in the office.

You’ll lead governance, DPIAs, DPAs and data-sharing with a pragmatic, commercial lens, ensuring Privacy by Design and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with substantial privacy/data protection experience.
• In-house experience preferred; balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Excellent knowledge of UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
• Experience embedding and improving a privacy programme.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day privacy matters across product, data, marketing and commercial teams.
• Develop and maintain privacy governance, policies, DPIAs and data sharing agreements.
• Provide pragmatic advice on UK/EU data protection laws and privacy by design.
• Lead privacy training and help build a privacy-enabled culture.
• Manage DPIAs, LIAs, DSARs and incident response coordination.
