Job summary

Egis is looking for a Senior Principal Process Engineer to lead the UK water/wastewater design discipline. You will guide major municipal and industrial treatment projects, ensuring robust, sustainable solutions across design, construction, commissioning and handover.

You will mentor the process team, shape design standards and engage senior clients while applying model-informed decision making and data-led design to optimise performance and risk management.

Qualifications

• A degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or closely related field.
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status preferred.
• 10–12+ years’ process design experience in water/wastewater.
• Experience leading process design and technical assurance on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for the process discipline within the UK water/wastewater design team.
• Act as process discipline lead or senior technical authority on complex projects across design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Set and maintain process design standards, modelling approaches, design risk processes, workflows and QA expectations.
• Lead complex process deliverables, treatment strategies, process models, key technical decisions and interfaces.
• Drive integrated coordination across Process, Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural, MEP, construction and operations teams.
• Lead client engagement, workshops, optioneering, value engineering and design reviews.
• Embed modern delivery approaches including process simulation, data-led design and digital tools.
• Support project directors with risk, scope, resourcing, programme and budget.
