We currently have an opportunity for a Senior / Principal Transport Planner to join our busy Transport Planning team, based in Cambridge, on a permanent basis. The role would suit a transport planner with a broad understanding of all elements of the profession, ideally with a focus on transport planning for development projects and public sector schemes.
Our Cambridge office is located in the city center, close to the University of Cambridge, with excellent access to local attractions and transportation links to London. Our team has been involved in high-profile projects such as North West Cambridge Development (Eddington), Addenbrooke’s Hospital Biomedical Campus, Waterbeach Barracks and Airfield, Tendring and Colchester Borders Garden Community, and Alconbury Weald.
You will work on a variety of projects, from land development proposals to strategic infrastructure, supporting technical outputs like Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and transport studies. You will liaise with clients, design teams, local authorities, and the public, and mentor junior team members.

About You
You should have a degree in transportation, geography, engineering, or a related field, with experience in the planning system, Transport Assessments, Travel Planning, Junction modelling, and relevant software. Strong numerical skills and experience managing project budgets and quality are important. Ideally, you are working towards a professional qualification like Chartered Transport Planning Professional.
You should have a proven track record of successful project delivery, client management, and stakeholder engagement. The ability to manage work with minimal supervision is desirable.
