Senior/Principal Transport Planner

Basingstoke

I'm working with a well-regarded consultancy that's expanding their teams in Basingstoke and the Solent, and they're looking for experienced Senior and Principal Transport Planners to help deliver a wide range of development planning projects across the residential, commercial, retail, and leisure sectors.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement chapters.
2. Taking ownership of small to mid-sized projects, managing deadlines and deliverables.
3. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex development schemes.
4. Using Junctions 10 and LinSig for modelling, interpreting outputs, and advising clients.
5. Applying design guidance including MfS, DMRB, LTN1/20, and principles of Active Travel and Healthy Streets.
6. Supporting meetings and negotiations with highway authorities.
7. Producing fee proposals and managing project budgets.
8. Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
9. Contributing to business development and client relationship growth.
