Job summary

Regional Recruitment seeks a Senior/Principal Transport Engineer in Leicester to lead transport projects and teams. You will oversee Transport Statements and Assessments across commercial, residential, industrial, and education sectors, with project values up to £50 million.

The role offers hybrid working and opportunities for progression within a growing consultancy. A chartered status or progress toward chartership is preferred, with strong policy knowledge and modelling skills.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience.
• Chartered or working towards chartership through ICE, CIHT or TPP.
• Strong knowledge of national and local transport policies and requirements.
• Experience preparing Transport Statements and Transport Assessments.
• Experience carrying out complex junction analysis.
• Proficient in transport/traffic modelling software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Responsibilities

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior/Principal Transport Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy based in Enderby, Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity to build and lead your own team while working on a variety of projects across the commercial, residential, industrial and education sectors, with projects valued up to £50 million.

• Work on projects within the commercial, residential, industrial and education sectors
• Manage projects up to £50 million in value
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent client relationships
• Carry out complex junction analysis and provide clear, practical recommendations
• Prepare high-quality and accurate project documentation
• Confidently represent the company at meetings
• Liaise with highways engineers, planning consultants, architects and clients
• Contribute to the development and growth of the transport team
• Build and lead your own team
