Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to take technical ownership of a brand new physical system based in Stevenage, with a salary of £70,000 - £80,000 and working Monday to Friday.

You will travel across the UK and occasionally internationally to support customers, suppliers, trials and engineering partners, while leading multidisciplinary design, integration and verification activities.

Qualifications

• Owns requirements, architecture and technical delivery across a complex system.
• Strong systems engineering background for complex products or platforms.
• Proven integration, test and qualification experience.
• Able to solve challenging multidisciplinary engineering problems across teams.
• Experience leading suppliers, partners or subcontractors.
• Confident engaging customers and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own system requirements, architecture and technical direction.
• Act as the senior technical authority for a complex engineering programme.
• Lead multidisciplinary design, integration and problem-solving activities.
• Direct and challenge suppliers, partners and specialist engineering teams.
• Drive verification, validation and product qualification.
• Engage customers and stakeholders while shaping systems engineering best practice.
• Travel across the UK and occasionally internationally to support customers, suppliers and partners.
