Job summary

Ramboll in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to lead a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK and internationally. Joining our Building Structures team, you will shape concepts, mentor colleagues and drive innovative, low-carbon design solutions in collaboration with internationally renowned architects and clients.

Qualifications

• Chartered with the IStructE, ICE, or international equivalent.
• Excellent communicator who can explain engineering principles clearly.
• Track record of high-design, sustainability, or re-use of assets.
• Experience in primary construction materials (steel, concrete, timber) and knowledge of MMC.
• Passion for sustainable solutions.
• Multidisciplinary mindset with willingness to learn wider building design aspects.
• Interest in commercial aspects of engineering services projects; experience with managing project change.
• Experience in assessment, retrofit and alteration of existing structures.
• Exposure to construction supervision, building investigation and structural testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and agree structural concepts and design philosophies
• Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians on your projects
• Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
• Take ownership as day-to-day lead on a project or part of a project
• Push the boundaries of low-carbon design
