Role within the Healthcare Structures team

As a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer, you will be part of a talented, diverse team working on national and international healthcare projects. We value design flair and innovative solutions. Our offices are located throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and agreeing on structural concepts and design philosophies
• Inspiring and leading engineers and technicians on your projects
• Liaising with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at meetings
• Taking ownership as the day-to-day project lead

Initial 12-month deliverables:

• Growing and maintaining a professional network and representing Ramboll
• Contributing to our Healthcare Structures’ goals in projects, sustainability, digital design, team culture, learning, and business development

Growth and development

• Chartered status with IStructE, ICE, or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex engineering concepts clearly
• Experience with high-design, sustainable, or asset re-use projects
• Proficiency in designing with steel, concrete, timber, and knowledge of MMC is beneficial
• A passion for sustainable solutions
• A multidisciplinary mindset and a willingness to learn about broader building design aspects
• Experience with UK healthcare projects is essential; international healthcare experience is a plus
