Job summary

Stantec in the UK seeks a Senior Principal Process Engineer to lead technical direction across water and wastewater projects, working with multidisciplinary teams. The role focuses on governance, robust solutions, and strategic advisory to clients.

You will influence engineering strategy from concept through to construction, mentor senior engineers, and help grow Stantec's Process Engineering capability across the UK water sector.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive process engineering experience in water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Strong design, calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessment experience.
• Proven senior technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to influence senior client stakeholders with credible technical advice.
• Experience contributing to bids, frameworks and growth opportunities.
• Experience developing others and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across complex water and wastewater projects.
• Act as a technical authority providing expert advice and assurance.
• Lead and assure process designs, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and specs.
• Influence engineering strategy from concept to commissioning.
• Provide governance, identify risks and apply best practices.
• Build senior client relationships as a strategic adviser.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams with civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental colleagues.
