Position: Senior / Principal Process Engineer

Our client, the UK’s leading responsive wastewater treatment company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior or Principal Process Engineer to join their team in Monmouth. This role involves working within the Engineering Technical Solutions Team to design, optimize, and implement wastewater treatment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed process designs and simulations to optimize wastewater treatment solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility and optimize options
• Support development of laboratory experiments and pilot studies to evaluate treatment methods and troubleshoot operational issues
• Assist in design, delivery, and commissioning of solutions, including producing P&IDs, drawings, control philosophies, and HAZOPs
• Search for and implement new technologies, processes, and partnerships to ensure optimal solutions
• Identify and evaluate R&D opportunities to improve solutions across products and sectors
• Represent the company in meetings, presentations, and negotiations
• Provide technical training and mentoring internally and for clients and projects

Qualifications & Skills

• Engineering degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, wastewater, or related field
• Proven experience in water process engineering
• Expertise in wastewater treatment technologies and process design
• Knowledge of standards, design requirements, and project delivery processes
• Strong optimization and troubleshooting skills, including risk management
• Municipal water industry experience is preferred
