Job description

Our client is on a mission to revolutionize the space economy by enabling rapid and reliable access to space. They have built launch systems and a robust SaaS platform used by internal teams and external customers for engineering, prototyping, and hardware development. This product supports designers, engineers, assemblers, and makers in delivering hardware efficiently. They are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop new features, focusing on backend data models and frontend components. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire stack, primarily on backend services, to help scale a platform that enhances hardware design processes for space travel.

In this role, you will:

1. Build event-driven services
2. Design and deploy mission-critical frontend (React) components
3. Collaborate with other developers to ensure correct implementation of designs
4. Write quality code with comprehensive unit and integration tests
5. Develop new features using technologies such as Typescript, Postgres, React, and others with a focus on testing
6. Mentor junior engineers to support the company's long-term health

Ideal candidates will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in CS or related field/experience
• 10+ years of experience in startup and enterprise environments building scalable, commercially available software
• Experience with UI development, containerization, and backend services
• Proficiency in modern technologies such as GraphQL, Typescript, Postgres, Next.js, and React
• Strong curiosity, excellent communication skills, leadership desire, and mentoring ability

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence a few days a week. Candidates must qualify to work in an ITAR environment (US or Green Card holders). All team members participate in a reasonable on-call rotation to support the SaaS platform.
