We are a fully-funded game studio with a team of veteran founders.

THE MISSION

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will join a small, remote team working on backend systems for an exciting, unannounced Multiplayer Action RPG game. Your responsibilities include building game-supporting APIs, features, and web-facing products that interact directly with users. The tech stack includes Node.js, Typescript, MongoDB, React, PostgreSQL, and C++, among others. Collaboration with a front-end engineer is required, and some familiarity with front-end frameworks is preferred. This position is remote and open to applicants worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the design and implementation of scalable online services.
• Collaborate with the team to develop backend services for the game.
• Build web services interacting with blockchain and game servers.
• Optimize and debug complex, multi-service systems.
• Write robust, maintainable code.

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive knowledge of Node.js and its strengths and weaknesses.
• Experience architecting scalable Node.js applications.
• Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6/ES7), TypeScript, and programming fundamentals.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with AWS and Docker.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Some familiarity with C++.
• A passion for games!

DESIRABLE

• Experience in game development.
• Blockchain experience, particularly Ethereum.
• Front-end design skills.
• Experience with React.
• Creating and maintaining REST APIs in Node/TypeScript.
• Experience with The Graph (http://thegraph.com/).
