Job summary

Arm seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer to drive the Arm Architecture Reference Manual’s development and publication. You will influence strategy, tooling, and validation frameworks, collaborating with the Technical Director and partner teams to ensure accurate, accessible specifications.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor contributors, and shape a scalable specification framework aligned with Arm’s future architecture.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Strong understanding of Arm architecture and ISA fundamentals.
Experience leading multi-functional teams and external partners.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the long-term strategic roadmap for the Arm ARM, accounting for its correctness, accessibility, consistency and quality.
Lead multi-functional initiatives with different teams (architects, engineering teams and partners) to ensure the evolution of the product and its quality.
Review and approve plans for integration of new architecture and QA scenarios.
Lead the maintenance strategy, work with architects and engineering teams, content refactoring and continually improve quality.
Ensure the adoption of tooling, validation frameworks, and digital publication.
Mentor technical contributors, strengthening the architecture knowledge across all teams involved.
