Wood is currently recruiting for Senior/Principal Electrical Power System Engineers on a hybrid contract basis for upcoming projects.

The Engineer will be responsible for running power system simulations of complex systems, taking ownership of the power system model and studies, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for the assigned project.
Responsibilities include providing technical input into major equipment sizing, producing Power Generation & Distribution Engineering drawings/documents (equipment lists, key line diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules), and checking against design specifications while meeting client and international standards.
Must have advanced experience using Power System modelling ETAP package, including running load flows, short-circuit, transient stability, static/dynamic motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc-flash, and protection coordination studies, and issuing corresponding power system study reports.
Work scope includes reviewing project SoW, providing protection engineering solutions, recognizing and communicating opportunities in the design process, identifying scope changes, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, following project schedule and controlling costs, liaising with clients and vendors, and understanding company and client policies.
Qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, formal training in advanced ETAP Power System Modelling, extensive experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering office, and good experience with O&G facilities design. The candidate should be able to prioritize workload, demonstrate self-motivation, and have a positive working attitude.
