Senior Principal DS Scientist - Permanent - Wrexham, UK

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist to lead strategic projects in biomanufacturing processes, focusing on API/Drug substance processing. This role involves developing innovative solutions for upstream and downstream strategies, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. You will serve as the scientific leader for API/Drug substance manufacturing and lead the Purification Chromatography Community of Practice.

The Senior Principal DS (Drug Substance) Scientist will:

• Have expertise in MS&T bioprocesses, including fermentation, purification, chromatography, and filtration.
• Demonstrate proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary scientific teams.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of CMC development and global regulatory requirements.
• Have experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Be capable of aligning technical programs with business objectives and managing budgets and timelines.
