Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join a growing independent consultancy on the Nottingham outskirts. You will take ownership of projects, liaising with clients and steering design from feasibility through to construction.

The role offers leadership of highways and drainage schemes, with opportunities for mentoring staff and contributing to business development, tenders and fee proposals.

Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

Nottingham outskirts

£55k-£60k plus benefits

Our client has a great opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join a growing independent consultancy based just outside Nottingham.

This is a role with genuine scope to make an impact, taking ownership of projects, working directly with clients and helping shape the continued development of the civil engineering team.

The successful engineer will be involved in a varied range of projects, leading civil engineering design from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction. Responsibilities will include highways, drainage, earthworks, external works, levels and infrastructure, together with drainage strategies and SuDS where appropriate.

The role will also involve client and stakeholder liaison, technical checking, project management, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to fee proposals, tenders and business development. There is plenty of opportunity for someone keen to develop both their technical and commercial skills.

Candidates should have significant UK consultancy/design experience, with a strong background in civil engineering design and ideally highways and drainage. Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage or similar would be advantageous.

CEng/MICE or working towards Chartership is desirable, although candidates with strong relevant experience operating at Senior or Principal level will also be considered.
