Job Title: Senior Principal Auditor - Treasury

Group Audit serves as Deutsche Bank's independent Third Line of Defense, proactively assisting the bank's business and infrastructure areas to identify control weaknesses. You will work within the Treasury audit team responsible for the timely delivery of high-quality, value-added audit reports for a portfolio of Treasury and 2nd line Treasury Risk related activities, meeting the requirements of the Deutsche Bank Board and regulators.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead and execute day-to-day operational audit work, focusing on liquidity risk management, capital management, and interest rate risk in banking book.
  • Plan audits by documenting activity flows, identifying risks, and assessing controls; attend stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Draft high-quality audit reports, facilitate issue tracking, validate issue closure, and approve closure of significant issues.
  • Review and provide expertise on action plans, helping stakeholders develop robust remediation strategies.
  • Complete all audit work within the agreed budget, including ad hoc projects and investigations.
Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional risk or accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, FRM, CIA) is advantageous.
  • Audit experience in financial services, particularly Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, Funding, Asset Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, or related areas; experience outside audit with strong Treasury/Treasury Risk background is also considered.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards and concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
