Job summary

Aztrum is recruiting for Senior through Associate Civil Engineer roles in Liverpool. You will design and deliver civil engineering projects, collaborating with the wider design team from concept through to completion, with a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office.

The role requires experience across commercial and residential developments, strong flood risk and drainage expertise, and proficiency in MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, and AutoCAD.

Senior/Principal/Associate Civil Engineer

Our client is a leading independent civil and structural engineering consultancy, trusted in the construction industry for over 40 years. Pioneering in BIM technology, they simplify design solutions and sustainability for an increasingly complex world.

Independently owned and directed by a team of experienced engineers, the firm has expanded from its Liverpool base to also operate from a Birmingham office, allowing it to serve clients efficiently across the UK. A consistent approach, collaborative ethos and commitment to quality have earned long-standing relationships with public and private sector clients alike, making this a respected and dependable partner for over four decades.

Due to continued growth, they're looking to add several Civil Engineers to their Liverpool team, from Senior through to Associate level.

About the role

You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, working closely with the wider design team from concept through to completion, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office.

What we’re looking for

• Experience across commercial developments, residential developments, ExtraCare homes and healthcare projects, ranging from large-scale hospital and residential schemes to inner-city sites
• A strong track record in tackling multifaceted design challenges, particularly around flood risk and drainage management
• Experience leading the delivery of civil engineering aspects of projects, with strong problem-solving and team management skills to ensure timely completion
• Proficiency in software packages such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage and AutoCAD
• A proactive, approachable approach, consistently delivering results that are cost-effective and meet client requirements
• Confident working independently as well as part of a team
• Able to work from the Liverpool office 3 days a week
