Job summary

PrattWhitney in Leighton Buzzard, UK, is seeking a Senior Principal Certification Engineer – Aftermarket to lead certification and airworthiness activities for interior aftermarket programs. You will coordinate with regulators (EASA/CAA), OEMs, and Collins to enable certification strategies and grow the aftermarket business.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace, experience with FAA/EASA processes, M1020 Signatory, and hands-on design and certification of mechanical and electrical systems for

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in certification and airworthiness.
• Experience with aerospace programs and aftermarket.
• Extensive experience with OEM, FAA and/or EASA certification processes.
• M1020 Signatory experience.
• Experience designing and certifying mechanical and electrical systems for aircraft interiors.
• Current EASA/UK CVE or company equivalent within Part 25.

Responsibilities

• Define standards and implement processes for certification and airworthiness within the engineering organization.
• Execute certification compliance campaigns for programs related to commercial aircraft interior upgrades.
• Partner with regulators, aircraft OEMs and organizations across Collins on certification strategies to enable and grow the aftermarket business.
• Coordinate with management to develop training plans, and mentor team members for discipline advancement.
• Review and approve test plans, reports, compliance documents, and witness testing.
• Conduct root cause analysis, participate in and facilitate continuous improvement activities to improve performance.
• Identify and react to complex project problems, develop and implement solutions.
