Job summary

Agria Pet Insurance in the UK is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead underwriting and pricing initiatives. You will shape data-driven pricing strategies, oversee product and pricing changes, and ensure strong customer, commercial and regulatory outcomes.

The role combines deep pricing technical expertise with leadership and governance. Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, the team attends the office once a week on Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pricing, product, underwriting or actuarial roles within insurance or financial services.
• Strong technical capability in pricing models, risk analysis, GLMs and data-driven decision making.
• Experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of regulatory expectations, including product governance, fair value and consumer duty.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary pricing and underwriting team.
• Enhance pricing and risk models using GLMs, machine learning and actuarial techniques.
• Driving pricing strategy to meet loss ratio targets while supporting growth in policy volumes and GWP.
• Own product and pricing changes, ensuring developments are well-governed and implemented.
• Provide regular insight and reporting to senior committees on performance, trends and recommended actions.
• Champion fair value and consumer duty, ensuring processes remain compliant and customer-focused.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with actuarial, product and functional leads to embed best practice.
• Monitoring regulatory and market developments and translating them into pricing and product improvements.
• Managing key partnerships, including our pricing engine supplier and partner insurers, ensuring value is fully realised.
