Medical Protection Society is seeking a Senior Pricing and Data Science Analyst to lead complex, system-driven pricing across the UK & Ireland portfolio. You will own end-to-end initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and provide technical leadership and mentorship within a hybrid, England-based team.

You will develop and enhance pricing models, emulators, and analytics tools, productionise models, and deliver actionable insights to governance forums, while monitoring renewal performance and

Qualifications

• Strong numerical degree with significant experience in pricing, data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced understanding of pricing, analytics, and data science in a commercial environment.
• Proficient Excel skills (modeling, pivots, VBA) and strong SQL with large datasets.
• Experience developing pricing systems, emulators, or analytical tools.
• Experience with statistical/predictive modelling techniques (e.g., regression, GLMs).
• Knowledge of governance, model risk, and change control in regulated settings.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and present at governance forums.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver pricing models, emulators, and analytical tools that are robust and explainable.
• Lead system-driven pricing initiatives and productionise models with safe changes.
• Provide clear insights and pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Own renewal performance monitoring and KPI analysis to support governance.
• Build pricing insight tools for operational teams and delegated authorities.
• Analyse pricing variance and guide discount strategy with underwriting.
