Role Description

Markerstudy Group is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to help build and shape our pricing models. You will monitor our portfolio and deliver innovative pricing solutions within the Retail Pricing team for Atlanta Group.

As part of the retail pricing team, you will oversee trading across different channels and insurance products. Candidates should have experience in general insurance pricing, familiarity with tools such as SAS, Python, RStudio, SQL, Emblem, and Radar, and a good understanding of the UK personal lines insurance market. A proactive approach to process improvement is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct retail price optimisation analysis and modelling.
• Develop customer propensity and Lifetime Value (LTV) models using SAS or SQL.
• Create innovative data solutions to mine insights and present data effectively.
• Build and maintain sophisticated models employing various data science techniques.
• Promote the adoption of data science and statistical methods.
• Communicate findings to decision-makers to inform strategic pricing decisions.
• Collaborate with pricing, underwriting, and data science teams.
• Provide insights to support commercial decisions and strategic pricing adjustments.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in general insurance pricing.
• Knowledge of predictive modelling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering.
• Proficiency in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL).
• A quantitative degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science.
• Experience with WTW’s Radar software is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
