Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst

Location: Manchester (flexible)

Role Overview

This role is for the Atlanta Group, part of the Markerstudy Group.

Markerstudy Group is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to develop and optimize our pricing models. You will monitor our portfolio and deliver innovative pricing solutions within the Retail Pricing team for the Atlanta Group.

As part of the retail pricing team, you will oversee trading across various channels and insurance products. Candidates should have experience in general insurance pricing and familiarity with tools such as SAS, Python, RStudio, SQL, Emblem, and Radar. A keen, inquisitive mindset and understanding of the UK personal lines insurance market are essential, along with a willingness to embrace continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct retail price optimization analysis and modeling
• Develop customer propensity and Lifetime Value (LTV) models using SAS or SQL for data analysis
• Create innovative data solutions to extract insights and present data effectively
• Build and maintain sophisticated models, applying a range of data science techniques
• Promote the adoption of data science and statistical methods
• Communicate findings clearly to key decision-makers for strategic actions
• Collaborate with teams in pricing, underwriting, and data science
• Generate insights to support commercial decisions and strategic pricing changes

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience in general insurance pricing
• Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Networks, and Clustering
• Proficiency in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL)
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science
• Experience with WTW Radar software is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
