Job summary

Willmott Dixon in Nottingham is seeking a dynamic Preconstruction Project Manager (Bid Manager) to lead bid activity for Midlands region. Based primarily in our Nottingham office, you will work on a hybrid basis and coordinate internal and external resources to deliver high-quality bids on time and within budget.

You will manage two-stage/negotiated tenders for projects ranging from £10m to £100m across Education, Leisure, Health, Blue Light, Transport and Commercial sectors, driving commercial

Qualifications

• Experience managing diverse technical input and leading bid or PCSA processes.
• Background in construction roles (Operations, Planning, Commercial, Design or Estimating) preferred.
• Ability to develop and implement project strategies toward sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and lead bid team of internal and external resources.
• Work with team to develop the commercial strategy.
• Manage customer expectations through health checks and maintain relationships.
• Develop and incorporate project strategies to meet sustainability objectives.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and opportunities, and take corrective actions.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations.
• Coordinate inception workshops with customers and capture 'Why' insights.
