Job summary

Galliford Try Plc in the UK is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer to support design management for complex projects. You will help develop design management plans, risk registers and delivery plans in collaboration with internal teams and external design partners.

The role requires an engineering qualification, strong knowledge of CDM and temporary works, plus excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Proven technical understanding of design and construction processes.
Experience managing sub-contract and supply chain input.
Knowledge of CDM and temporary works.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong IT proficiency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and design partners to ensure design deliverables progress to handover.
Support the preparation of Design Management Plans, Risk Registers, and Delivery Plans with cost, quality and buildability in mind.
Ensure compliance with CDM in design, health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.
Collaborate with estimating and planning to align procurement schedules with the programme.
Support the Temporary Works Coordinator role to develop a temporary works register.
Manage supply chain design input and handle technical queries.
Promote safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
